I  am a fully qualified and experienced driving instructor.

You can be assured that once you've booked your lessons, you will always be taught by the same instructor every lesson, thus ensuring consistency and fast progress.

It is a sad and overlooked fact that recently qualified drivers are more likely to be involved in a road traffic accident during the first year of driving on their own, with potentially tragic consequences. Ill prepared pupils are more likely to waste hundreds of pounds on insurance  costs, through loss of no claims bonuses year on year.

Mark Barron is a fully qualified Authorized Driving Instructor (ADI) and has 
been teaching pupils to drive in the Durham area for the past 12 years.
He trained and qualified with BSM, who at the time were renowned for 
having the best training in the industry. During 4 years as a senior instructor 
with BSM, Mark was involved in the selection process of potential Driving 
Instructors.
It was here that Mark established his reputation as an excellent driving 
instructor with a high pass rate. However, Mark realised that he could better 
meet the needs of his pupils, by establishing his own independent school of 
motoring and now operates on his own, as Signal School of Motoring.
Mark believes that driving instruction is not just about trying to get a pupil to 
pass a driving test in an unrealistically short period of time, by repeatedly 
practicing set routes. He firmly believes  that learning to drive is much more 
than this and should prepare the pupil with a "skill for life" that will enable 
them to competently drive in any location, whether familiar or not, whilst 
keeping both themselves and other road users safe.

At Signal School of Motoring, patience and reliability are assured. Mark not only provides you with all the help you need to pass your theory test, but all driving lessons are carefully structured to meet the assessed needs of the individual pupil. Pupils are provided with a drivers record, which 
is updated and reviewed every lesson, so that pupils (and parents) are aware of their progress.
